| Corinne from Forks, WA USA says: | See others from this town | 12-18-2009 | | | | Christmas in Forks: old-fashioned streetlights downtown; sometimes snow, sometimes rain; driving around town looking at the decorated houses - some elaborate, some simple and effective; the giving trees at the 3 local banks; the Twilnkle Light Parade and Moonlight Madness - downtown closed to traffic for a night and everyone wandering the 2 whole blocks, greetings and smiles from everyone - neighbors, friends and strangers, good cheer and coats keeping us warm; the benefit dinners for those who need help; the many helping hands of a small community; the beauty of a sky full of twinkling stars uncluttered with ground lights; the surrounding forests whispering in the wind; the quiet of a Silent Night of Christmas in a small town. |
